I created this blog as my attempt to help get justice on the brutal murder of my classmate, FX Manzano, by the Philippine National Police (PNP). Clear FX's name and remove the corruption from our police and government. Give us a reason to trust in the government.

It's been a month. We're still waiting for justice
What makes you think you will secure justice for Francis Xavier Manzano in the Philippines ? Ano, ulol ka ba? Nanaginip ka ba? There is NO JUSTICE in this country. The poor hardly get justice. They swallow their tears and their bitterness together with garbage remains they have no choice but to eat and feed their children. Why- even the rich and those with celebrity status who seek JUSTICE for their just causes cannot get justice if they are not aligned with those in power in our government. See the charades and circus in our House of Representatives and the Senate. Read about the almost comical press releases involving cover -ups of bigger issues in our country than your classmate's murder. Read about the hablaan(lawsuits an counter-lawsuits) and nothing really happens. Those who are obviously guilty but are in power or can pay huge amounts to those in power still go about their parties and what nots. There are many people in our prisons who are innocent. There are more who are tortured and killed who are innocent. Millions and billions of pesos are stolen by those who are supposed to safeguard these for the Filipino people while petty thieves are paraded in the media and put in jail. The people who pay killers are never implicated. In this TMG mess, yes you blame those 10 policemen in your blog but these are just the stupid "paid killers" and there are people who are HIGHER than them who ordered this rub out? There are people who are higher than them involved in the cover-up! These 10 policemen will also be killed but did you get justice? NO! Because you did not really get to the people who ordered the rub-out.
So in the scheme of things - who is your classmate Francis Xavier Manzano? He may be innocent but he is just a number in the millions of innocents in our country who will never get justice.
This is a great comment because it truly shows the mentality of most Filipinos. World, welcome to our minds!
We know who really runs the charade. We don't expect justice in our country. If we get it, it's a surprise. If we don't get it, we just shrug our shoulders and move on with life. We all know who the puppets are and who the puppeteers are. We, filipinos, are smilers and jokers -- yet underneath all that, we fear in silence that the puppeteers won't look at us or our families as a threat to their power and corruption.
Well, my people, it's time to change the path to our future. We have to stop looking away from the mess. We must stop expecting injustice. We must start seeking for truth and justice. If we don't seek... if we don't ask.... then why should this country deserve it?
If Filipinos would only wish for justice rather than wish for a trip to Disneyland, then we may be a step closer to living in a country of justice. If Filipinos would just put more effort and have more courage to seek justice, the same way to put effort in trying to look good and have the courage to sing & dance on a stage... then we may be closer to justice.
I blog for justice. What are you doing for justice?
The person who made the first comment was very cynical. His/Her apathy towards just causes perpetuates the cynical mentality of the Filipino people. If you believe there is no justice, there will be no justice. Everyone fights their war on injustice one battle at a time. ClearFX, I hope you win your battle, if not the war.
For justice, I spread the word about this blog to my friends all over the world -- Filipinos and non-Filipinos. Thanks for this blog.
I am not sure of the author but we often hear these quotes which I believe is applicable to this issue of whether it is worth (it) to blog for justice in the Philippines in general/ for Francis Manzano in particular or DO NOTHING.
"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
"The hottest fires in hell are reserved for those who remain neutral in times of moral crisis" .
Nakakahiya ka..On one hand,I applaud the person who made this blog for his/her courage to speak up and seek for justice. Ang mga taong katulad mo ang nagpapatunay na may pag asa pa ang Pilipinas. Konti lang ang may lakas ng loob na gumawa ng ganito. Keep blogging for justice!! Saludo ako sayo!! I will tell my family and friends to visit this blog and spread the word about Francis Manzano.
In my opinion, violence against those policemen will not bring us closer to justice. Encouraging them to be brave enough to say they made a mistake, to tell the world that their accusations of Francis Manzano were lies, and to step down would probably be a better solution. Many of you are probably reading this are thinking it's impossible. Who knows, it's good to hope, right? Perhaps worth the try to give these men the opportunity to help our country gain justice, even at the expense of their egos and jobs. They took a life, I think it's worth it.
One brave cop willing to tell the truth at a time -- and it will bring us closer to getting rid of the bigger masterminds who think they can continue to hurt others with the demons they live with.

After one month, what has happened?... what happened to the report of the CHR? where are the policemen involved in the incident?
ReplyDeleteWe should not just forget and move on ... we should all continue to seek justice
thank you for believing. I'll continue to pray not just for Francis but for the whole country as well.
ReplyDeletemeanwhile, tayo ay mag-ingat din. 'di natin alam, baka tayo o mga mahal natin sa buhay ang susunod na mabiktima.
